DOG TRAINING INSTRUCTORS COURSE
28th August to 4th September 2010
to be held at
Harper Adams University College, Newport, Shropshire.
The British Institute of Professional
Dog Trainers offers their Instructors Course which covers the disciplines
of Obedience, Working Trials, Agility and Field Trials.
Four Grades of Certificates are on offer:
Second, First, Graduate and Advanced. In all Grades, the qualifications
are a Pass or an Honours Pass.
All disciplines and all Grades are covered
throughout the week.
The Institute recognises the value of
an interdisciplinary approach to dog training both for practical purposes
and for stimulation and motivation within the training environment.
The Course is aimed at all instructors
in the pet dog world; whether your classes are aimed at pet only, pet
and competition or competition only.
The Course is run using the Kennel Club's
Rules and Regulations for all four disciplines which gives a standard
to work to that is nationally recognised and has the added advantage of
common terminology.
This is a practical Course and independent
Judges will test your instructional abilities at the end of the week.
Whilst welcoming those who wish to gain experience, it should be clearly
understood that those who are without the relevant practical experience
in training a dog, are unlikely to achieve certification.
The Course is recognised by the Kennel
Club in respect of their Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training
and Canine Behaviour.
As BIPDT Courses have been running since
1975, there have been many changes made to the Course since the very first
Course. In particular, methods of training have been continually changing
and instructor knowledge has advanced over the years. There are now hundreds
of clubs that have an instructor who has been tested, under independent
Judges, and obtained one of our four Grades of excellence.
The cost of the Course is £495
and this includes your accommodation and three meals a day.
